ESEA Boats completes initial seed funding round
The ESEA F800 is designed as an all-electric day cruiser
Electric boat company ESEA has outlined its long-term plans, following the completion of its initial seed funding round.
According to the company, the investment will support further development of ESEA’s product range, expansion of its team and changes to production and supply chain operations.
ESEA, founded in Amsterdam in 2024, says it is developing a modular manufacturing and product architecture intended to support production across multiple markets while maintaining consistent quality and performance standards. This includes continued product development, supplier expansion and the establishment of a global supply chain structure.
ESEA’s first model, the F800, is an 8-metre all-electric day cruiser designed to simplify onboard operation and integrate onboard systems into a single platform.

The F800 features naval architecture by Thorne Yacht Design, and is built in Sweden. The boat is powered by the ePropulsion P20 electric rotatable Pod drive.
The F800 was first shown at boot Düsseldorf 2026 in January.
Reflecting on the company’s approach, co-founder and director Dee Du says: “We founded ESEA with the belief that boating should feel simple, intuitive and enjoyable. With the F800, we have taken a fully integrated approach, bringing together propulsion, controls and onboard systems into a single, cohesive design that creates a more seamless and responsive experience on the water.”
ESEA confirms it is currently developing a new 6-metre model, which is expected to expand its range into a smaller market segment.
