F1 driver Charles Leclerc takes delivery of new Riva superyacht
Monegasque Formula 1 driver Charles Leclerc has taken delivery of his latest yacht: the 20th hull of the 102′ Corsaro Super, which has been launched at Riva’s La Spezia shipyard in Italy.
The launch ceremony took place on 7 May 2026 at the yard’s production facility for yachts between 76ft and 130ft. Employees involved in the build attended alongside Leclerc, who also owns a Riva 82’ Diva.
“Charles’s passion for Riva, which is of course reciprocal, is a testament to quality and beauty that we welcome with boundless joy,” says Ferretti Group CEO, Alberto Galassi. “If such a formidable driver and icon of style and elegance chooses once again one of our boats, it means that Riva, and in this case the magnificent 102’ Corsaro Super, offers unrivalled standards of beauty, liveability and technology. Many thanks once again Charles, have fun and enjoy the water on your new Riva.”
The Riva 102′ Corsaro Super is a flybridge yacht developed as the successor to the 100′ Corsaro. The yacht was designed through collaboration between Officina Italiana Design, the Ferretti Group engineering department and the Strategic Product Committee led by Piero Ferrari.
The exterior profile features large glazed surfaces and more open transitions between interior and exterior spaces. The yacht’s layout includes a flybridge fitted with a custom bar unit, grill, induction hob, two refrigerators and an ice maker.
Interior and exterior features
Leclerc selected several of the yacht’s interior and exterior finishes. Exterior furnishings have been supplied by Minotti, while the decorative cushions were produced by Jim Thompson.
The aft beach club area measures more than 35 square metres. It includes direct water access, an inflatable platform for water toys, a swim ladder and a customised hauling ramp.
Interior furnishings are designed by Poliform and include custom details selected by the owner, such as the door handles. Audio and video systems by Bang & Olufsen are installed in the main lounge and master suite.
Performance and propulsion
The yacht is powered by twin MTU 16V 2000 M96L EPA Tier III engines rated at 2,638hp each. According to Riva, the yacht has a cruising speed of 24 knots and a top speed of 28 knots.
Stabilisation systems include Hydrotab interceptor trim tabs, Sleipner Vector Fins and Seakeeper gyroscopic stabilisers. The setup is intended to reduce rolling both underway and at anchor.
Riva, founded in 1842 on Lake Iseo, is part of the Ferretti Group. The brand builds yachts ranging from 27ft to 130ft at facilities in Sarnico and La Spezia, while its superyacht division in Ancona produces steel yachts between 50m and 90m.
