Fairline names new UK South Coast dealer

Fairline Poole Harbour team Jon Ford, Emily Hopkins and Russell Hayden

British motor yacht manufacturer, Fairline Yachts, has announced Salterns Brokerage as its new dealer in Poole Harbour. The well-established Salterns Marina-based dealer will work closely with the existing South Coast dealership, Bates Wharf, and will be known as Fairline Poole Harbour.

Part of the Salterns Group, Salterns Brokerage was founded in 1969 and specialises in motor yacht sales from 30ft to 70ft in the UK and the Mediterranean. Fairline Poole Harbour offers a fully serviced boatyard, private marina, and new and used boat sales.

Fairline Poole Harbour will be directed by Russell Hayden who has over 40 years of experience, alongside Jon Ford as brokerage manager, who has almost two decades experience as a yacht broker specialising in new boat sales.

Fairline’s Squadron 68

Ford says: “Through this new partnership, we wanted to enhance our offering to our berth holders and customer base across Poole Harbour and the Sandbanks area. Fairline is an iconic brand with similar values to the Salterns Group. The quality of build and experience of the build teams really stood out to us when we were looking to embark on a long-term relationship with a proven manufacturer.

“We believe there are exciting times ahead for Fairline with some great new models set to come soon. The UK will always lend itself to the 45 to 50ft sportsboat and flybridge models, so we’re expecting the Targa 45 GT and Squadron 50 to do particularly well for us. The recent trend for larger yachts being sold and offered for charter in the UK also presents a great opportunity for Fairline’s recently launched Squadron 68. Our new partnership is the perfect match and we’re excited to share the brand with our customers.”

Fairline sales director, James Powell adds: “The Fairline dealer network continues to go from strength to strength, and we are pleased to welcome the Salterns team on board. We are confident they will help introduce Fairline to new and existing customers and will offer the outstanding service Fairline customers expect.”
