A fashionable new superyacht, designed by The Italian Sea Group and Giorgio Armani, is set to hit the water in early 2024.

The 72-metre Admiral yacht was revealed during a private event held at the shipbuilder’s Marina di Carrara headquarters in Italy on Saturday evening (11 February 2023). It is the first of two yachts designed entirely by renowned Italian designer Armani.

The project was originally launched in 2020 and developed by Giorgio Armani and his team in collaboration with the style centre of Admiral — a brand of The Italian Sea Group.

The teams say their joint design “interprets and blends the DNA of the two brands” to create a unique, “avant-garde” vessel that takes inspiration from the nautical and fashion worlds.

Armani’s signature interiors are minimalistic, while the design of the exterior features a ‘clear architectural influence’ — geometric shapes are balanced with curves for a dramatic effect.

The Armani/Casa interiors make the most of refined materials, fine hand-crafted finishes, and a mix of soft or vibrant colours.

“Giorgio Armani is synonymous with timeless elegance and sophistication, and his stylistic vision has also increased our stylistic sensitivity,” says Giovanni Costantino, the founder and CEO of The Italian Sea Group.

“This new yacht is projected to be positioned as a stylistic benchmark, also given the countless comments and regards we’ve received from various industry players. This therefore confirms our business model, which aims to customise every detail in order to make each of our works absolutely unique, in line with the vision and desire of each owner.”

Giorgio Armani, chairman and CEO of the Armani Group, adds: “The sea and design are two of my greatest passions. With this new collaboration, I have extended my idea of furnishing and decor to the nautical world, in which — just as in fashion — aesthetics and functionality come together in a natural and elegant style.

“This highly stimulating project has allowed me to create customised spaces with Armani/Casa – like made-to-measure clothing — with the same craftsmanship applied to the choice of materials, details and production.”
