Fischer Panda UK’s Neo generator duo voted BMEEA Product of the Year
Fischer Panda UK’s popular Neo generator duo has been named Product of the Year 2018 at the annual British Marine Electrical & Electronics Association Conference Day.
The sister marine diesel generators, the Panda 4000s Neo and the Panda 5000i Neo, were voted as this year’s winner from the BMEEA shortlist of some of the industry’s best new products. The award, sponsored by Boating Business, was presented to Fischer Panda UK’s David Payne, Technical Sales Manager, by Katina Read, Editor of Boating Business, during the Annual Dinner and Awards night at the Novotel Hotel in Southampton on October 9.
Specifically developed for the small to medium size power demand, the Neo gensets are the first to use Fischer Panda’s in-house designed water-cooled FPE320 single cylinder diesel engine and offer significant weight and space savings for boat owners looking for freedom away from shore or marina power. By manufacturing its own engine, Fischer Panda has control over the production process, ensuring the longevity of the generator and answering demand for lightweight, quiet, compact generators at a competitive price.
Chris Fower, Sales & Marketing Director, Fischer Panda UK, said: “We are delighted with the BMEEA award for the Neo generators, which backs up the positive feedback we have already received from many customers using the units on the water. Both models have been developed to make life as easy as possible for boat owners, with easy installation and maintenance, compact, lightweight design, and quiet, smooth operation.”
The Panda 4000s Neo is a fixed speed generator rated at 3.4 kW (4.25kVA), while the environmentally-friendly 5000i Neo is rated at 4.0 kW (5kVA) and is part of Fischer Panda’s variable speed iSeries ‘Perfect Power’ range.
The annual BMEEA conference, exhibition and AGM provides an opportunity for all sectors of the marine industry to discuss topics of mutual interest, build beneficial business relationships and stimulate interest from apprentices. In addition to the BMEEA Product of the Year, awards were also presented to Dealer of the Year, Newly Certificated Electronic Technician of the Year, Newly Certificated Electrical Technician of the Year, and the BMEEA Apprentice Competition winner.
Fischer Panda UK also sponsored the award for the Newly Certificated Electrical Technician of the Year, presented to Henry Castledine, of Berthon Boat Co, by David Melville, Sales Manager – Specialist Applications at Fischer Panda UK.
