Fountaine Pajot Group and Atalanta Marine have established Fountaine Pajot Group Greece (FPGG), a joint venture serving the Greek and Cypriot markets. It will support the group’s Fountaine Pajot Sailing Catamarans, Fountaine Pajot Yachts and Dufour brands.

The companies have worked together in Greece for nearly 15 years. Both celebrate their 50th anniversaries in 2026.

Based near Alimos Marina in Athens, FPGG will oversee commercial development for the three brands in Greece. It will also provide sales, administrative and technical support for owners, charter operators and industry partners, with a focus on local service in Greece’s established charter market.

Panos Douros, who will lead the team, has many years of experience in yacht sales and more than 35 years’ experience in sailing and racing.

In a joint statement, the firms say their new venture will build on the Fountaine Pajot Yachts range’s existing presence in Greece and seek to increase sales of the group’s sailing catamarans and Dufour monohulls.

Steven Guedeu, deputy CEO of France-based Fountaine Pajot Group, says: “The creation of Fountaine Pajot Group Greece reflects our commitment to being closer to our markets and clients. Together with Atalanta Marine, we are combining industrial expertise and local knowledge to better support the Greek yachting community.”

George Ertsos, founder and president of Atalanta Marine, adds: “We are proud to take our collaboration with Fountaine Pajot Group to a new level. FPGG combines the strength of internationally recognised brands with our deep-rooted expertise in the Greek & Cypriot markets.

“This enhanced local presence will allow us to work even more closely with charter operators and owners, providing tailored support throughout every stage of their projects.”

The news comes after Fountaine Pajot outlined its upcoming leadership transition, as the group moves towards a change at chief executive level in 2027.

Chief executive Nicolas Gardies is expected to retire next year, with deputy chief executive officer Mathieu Fountaine appointed as CEO in July 2026 to support continuity during the transition.

Earlier this year, the Fountaine Pajot Group launched Vélite, an international brokerage network for pre-owned yachts, alongside the Nextsail certification label for eligible pre-owned Fountaine Pajot and Dufour models.

Vélite’s network is based on more than 150 Fountaine Pajot and Dufour distributors worldwide.
