Specialist boat insurance firm Haven Knox-Johnston has confirmed a new series of ‘From the Helm’ webinars, designed to keep grounded mariners company throughout the winter months and beyond.

Listeners can listen to expert advice about the latest maritime matters or discover the practical steps necessary to embark on extraordinary boating adventures.

First on the agenda is: ‘Navigating the switch to lithium batteries onboard your boat’. This webinar will be held on 23 November 2023 at 7.30pm.

Haven Knox-Johnston says this flagship webinar is for all boaters considering switching to lithium batteries but who find themselves anchored down by concerns about costly installations, lifeless batteries, or even worse, a blaze aboard their vessel.

Listeners can join a seasoned crew of industry experts for an informative webinar to discuss the risks, rewards and installation factors of lithium batteries, and take the opportunity to ask any questions to the expert panel.

The crew of maritime experts confirmed for the webinar includes Paul Bailey, technical director at Marine Energy Systems; marine surveyor, Ben Sutcliffe-Davies; and leading fire expert, Dr Peter Mansi.
