GOST names new CEO amid company restructuring

The marine security firm Global Ocean Security Technologies (GOST), a US-based provider of tracking, monitoring and video surveillance systems, has made a suite of structural and leadership changes.
Company founder and former chief technology officer Brian Kane has been appointed president and chief executive officer with immediate effect. He takes over from Jay Keenan, who now assumes the role of chief marketing officer. Both executives will continue to serve on the company’s board of directors.
Kane has led the company’s technical direction since its inception, focusing on the development and deployment of security, video and satellite tracking systems for the maritime sector.
“I’m honoured to take the reins of GOST as we realign the team for this next chapter in revolutionising maritime security, video and tracking standards timed with the launch of our new Spectre AI,” says Kane. “I’m thankful for Jay’s work, which has helped carry GOST to its market-leading position, and know he will be an excellent asset as he sharpens his focus on new product marketing opportunities, including global partnerships and emerging maritime sectors to drive growth.
The company has been expanding its team and last year, GOST promoted Scott Breaux to global sales and marketing director – business strategies analyst.
“Together, along with the proven GOST team in Fort Lauderdale, we will ensure that boaters’ most prized investments remain safe and secure 24/7, delivering true peace of mind with intelligent situational awareness aboard.”
As part of the restructuring, GOST has also transitioned into a new C-Corp format. The firm says this change is intended to support the company’s efforts to expand its global footprint and improve service delivery.
