Helm, which operates as a yacht charter brokerage, has launched a new yacht charter brand, Anchor. The idea is to sharpen its service for bareboat and skippered clients and help Helm to address growing demand for flexible, lower‑hassle charter holidays, with tailored yachts and expert support.

“Whether you’re an experienced sailor or stepping aboard for the first time, Anchor makes it easy to discover unforgettable sailing adventures with confidence,” says Simon Morgan, co‑founder at Helm.

The focus is on modern monohulls, catamarans, and motor yachts in prime sailing destinations from the Mediterranean to the Caribbean. The brand is created to split Helms’s operations: while Helm continues to address the crewed charter segment, Anchor will concentrate on the less-served bareboat and skippered market.

Morgan describes Anchor (find full details on its website) as symbolising “freedom, choice, and the simple joy of being on the water,” and intends for the new brand to give both newcomers and veteran sailors confidence. His co-founder Peter Harrison‑Hill says that since Helm’s modest beginnings ten years ago — “two blokes with a bank loan and a spare bedroom” — the business has expanded to offices in Australia, 25 staff, and over 2,000 charters per year. He sees Anchor as a way to bring more clarity and expertise to each charter niche.

“Naturally, as we have grown, we have become a little stretched trying to serve all segments of the market, and we think we can do a little better. The introduction of Anchor as a sister brand to Helm allows us to consolidate and provides a clear focus to each brand, with Helm able to focus on growing in the crewed market, where we already have five boats under Central Agency, while Anchor doubles down on providing expert, dedicated service to bareboat and skippered clients, from brokers that know those boats inside-out.”

The Anchor team is led by Kasia Harris, an industry veteran with more than 15 years’ experience in yacht charter brokerage. “Her expertise and strong relationships with fleet operators and shipyards give Anchor a real advantage. We’re delighted she’s leading the team,” says Morgan. Under Harris, brokers will specialise in fleet knowledge, destination advice, and client support.

Anchor’s model includes dedicated brokers selected for intimate knowledge of yachts and sailing hubs, a curated fleet to match quality and affordability, and a support system drawing on Helm’s established infrastructure.
