HP Watermakers continues its collaboration with the Emirati shipyard Gulf Craft, providing equipment for the newly launched Majesty 100 Terrace. The partnership includes the installation of the HP SCD Double 260 RP Tronic watermaker on board the 32.25-metre vessel, an updated model following the Majesty 111.

Since 2001, HP Watermakers has worked with Gulf Craft, contributing to the outfitting of all yachts produced at its facility in Umm Al Quwain, United Arab Emirates. The Majesty 100 Terrace was presented at the 2025 Dubai International Yacht Show.

“Every yacht presents new challenges in meeting the needs of both designers and owners,” explains Gianni Zucco, co-founder of HP Watermakers. “The Majesty 100 Terrace was no exception, where we installed our HP SCD Double 260 watermaker, which we had introduced just a year ago at the Cannes Yachting Festival.

“As has been the case throughout our longstanding collaboration with Gulf Craft, HP Watermakers has once again taken care of the entire onboard water system. In addition to the watermaker, we have installed sterilisation and potable water softening systems.”

The HP SCD series includes five models, producing between 260l/h and 1,200l/h of fresh water. These systems are fully automatic, managed by the RP Tronic system, which helps eliminate the need for manual pressure adjustments due to changes in salinity or water temperature. The RP Tronic also supports an end-of-cycle rinse using a fully open valve, reducing the need for chemical membrane cleaning.

The HP SCD Double 260 system includes two watermakers within a single enclosure, enabling operators to manage energy consumption by running only one unit when demand is low. During peak demand or guest cruises, both systems operate simultaneously. In the event of a failure, a second unit remains available. The design also incorporates relocated low-pressure pumps to reduce the unit’s size for improved access in the engine room.

The model measures 1,100mm in length, 500 mm in height and 600mm in depth, weighing 130kg, with an hourly output of 2×260 to 2x320l/h and a power draw of 2×2.2kW.

The Majesty 100 Terrace accommodates 10 guests and six crew. The yard says its design introduces a 20 per cent increase in entertainment space compared to previous models, with cockpit balconies adding a further 15 per cent. Interior spaces include four ensuite cabins on the lower deck, a sky lounge on the upper deck and an open-plan main deck with a ten-seat dining table. The owner’s suite features a private terrace and floor-to-ceiling glass doors offering sea views.

HP Watermakers, founded in 1995, produces automatic watermakers for yachts, ships and resorts, with outputs from 120 to 10,000l/h. The ISO 9001-certified company manufactures 80 per cent of its components at its 3,000-square-metre site near Milan. It produces up to 1,000 units annually.

HP Watermakers developed the Part-NET interface, which is compatible with onboard electronic systems such as those from Raymarine. Its products include the HP KILO, a 220V model using 0.9kW/h to generate 100l/h of fresh water, and Sea0Spot, which integrates a watermaker with softening and nanofiltration functions.
