Marine accessories maker Opacmare acquires Pin-Craft

Italian marine accessories manufacturer Opacmare has confirmed its acquisition of Pin-Craft, a Viareggio-based company that makes accessories for pleasure boats, including gangways and ladders.

Opacmare says the acquisition of Pin-Craft is beneficial as it offers proximity to Pin-Craft’s production site in Viareggio.

The acquisition will also enable Opacmare to expand its product range. The addition of Pin-Craft’s solutions is intended to strengthen the group’s presence in the segment serving vessels over 50m and, following the integration, the company says it will be positioned to meet the needs of vessels ranging from 10m to 200m.

Opacmare says it also expects to offer more complete service packages by incorporating Pin-Craft’s installation capabilities, aiming to streamline service delivery to be more efficient.

The group says it anticipates that Pin-Craft will gain access to new international markets and see increased turnover through the support of Opacmare’s network. The integration is also intended to improve organisational workflows and expand the firm’s overall production capacity.

“We strongly believe that this acquisition will add value not only to our company but also to clients, suppliers, and partners,” says Pietro Sacco, president of Opacmare.

The acquisition process and company integration are currently underway.
