NatPower Marine acquires Aqua superPower charging network
NatPower Marine has acquired Aqua superPower’s international charging network from ATV Power, adding more than 80 charging locations across Europe and North America to its maritime electrification platform.
The agreement was announced during the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge on Friday (10 July 2026).
“This transaction marks a decisive step forward for us: we are no longer just developing infrastructure, but building a platform capable of operating on an international scale,” says Fabrizio Zago, CEO of NatPower,
“The addition of Aqua superPower to our ecosystem provides us with an immediate operational presence in key markets and strengthens our ability to deliver projects effectively and at scale on a global level.”
The deal comes just days after Aqua superPower announced it was supporting a €2m marina electrification programme in Italy’s Friuli Venezia Giulia region, aimed at expanding charging infrastructure across six marinas.
Aqua superPower says its charging network operates across more than 80 ports and marinas in Europe and North America, including locations in the UK, France, Italy, Spain, Sweden and the US.
Stewart Wilkinson, CEO of ATV Power, adds: “Joining NatPower Marine enables us to scale our platform faster and extend our reach, building on the network we have already developed.”
NatPower Marine says the acquisition will support its plans to expand beyond recreational boating into commercial ports and maritime hubs by combining Aqua superPower’s charging network with its own energy infrastructure platform.
According to the company, the combined platform will bring together charging infrastructure, project development, financing, and operational delivery to simplify the rollout of maritime electrification projects across multiple markets.
Monaco Energy Boat Challenge
The agreement was formally presented during the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge, where NatPower Marine took part in a discussion on sustainable marine energy solutions. A live hydrogen refuelling demonstration also took place, showcasing NatPower’s broader strategy of integrating multiple energy technologies within a single infrastructure model.
Aqua superPower supplied charging infrastructure for the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge using its floating E-Dock, marking its fourth year supporting the event. The Yacht Club de Monaco became the first location to install an Aqua superPower fast charger in 2019.
