New 70m steel Amer yacht under construction

Permare has announced the construction of the new Amer 70 steel yacht. This is the first vessel built by the Italian shipyard that will be made from steel. The 70m steel yacht is set to be delivered to a European client in 2026.

Construction of the vessel has begun, with a dedicated supply chain, giving geographical priority to highly skilled workers in the Ligurian and Tuscan districts.

Permare says the displacement hull with contemporary lines has been born from the creative flair of Antonio Luxardo. The work is being overseen by the Amerio family (pictured below).

The interiors are designed by Luxury Projects studio, from the initiative of designer Laura Pomponi. The project was commissioned to Optima, the Ligurian studio of La Spezia.

Giulio Riva is the director of works and quality control, and has 30 years of experience in the steel industry. Riva has contributed to many major successful refittings with Amer’s shipyard in San Remo.

More details will be unveiled in the coming months.
