New Zhik XWR Pro Long Sleeve Top

Zhik has introduced its new super lightweight, breathable XWR Pro Long Sleeve Top, said to be ideal for high activity sailing in warm conditions, keeping you cool and protected from spray and sun.

With a UPF 50+ treatment, it protects from harmful UV rays. The high-stretch, soft, smooth technical fabric has been manufactured with manoeuvrability and performance in mind, and has raglan-cut sleeves for unrestricted movement.

Being highly water repellent, water droplets do not get absorbed by the fibres, helping to shield from water and wind chill, whilst maintaining dryness.

The XWR Pro top is designed to be an all-round performance garment for yacht and dinghy racing.

Zhik recommends teaming the XWR Pro Top with its recently improved Deck Shorts for long stints of hot weather when sailing offshore. Cut for action, the soft, four-way stretch fabric moves with the sailor, allowing unrestricted movement. With a durable water-repellent (DWR) coating, the fabric deflects spray and reduces the need for full waterproof salopettes in the heat.

Secure utility pockets on each thigh and deep side pockets keep multitools and mobiles safe at hand, while the integrated waistband adjusters enable fit modification when wearing different layers. A reinforced seat panel, using stretch Zhiktex™ II reinforcement fabric, protects from non-slip decks and enhances durability.

British sailor and Solo Guy Cotten race competitor, Alan Roberts, comments: “Solo Figaro racing is high intensity, close racing. Out there, I need to stay cool, calm and collected 24/7, through extreme heat to extreme cold. Zhik’s technical XWR Pro top and Deck Shorts are brilliant in warm conditions with spray. I’m comfortable always, and can just focus on the racing.”

The XWR Pro Long Sleeve top is available now in Deep Blue (sizes S to XXL) retailing at £85.00

Zhik Deck Shorts are available in black (Men’s sizes 28 – 40 and Women’s sizes 8 – 16) retailing at £99.95.
