Swedish leisure motorboat manufacturer Nimbus Group has confirmed that its chief financial officer Rasmus Alvemyr plans to leave the company after seven years in the position. He will continue in the role during the recruitment process for his successor.
Nimbus Group reported net sales of SEK 263m ($28.93m) during a “challenging” third quarter of 2025, a decrease of 30 per cent compared with the same period in 2024.
Alvemyr says: “The time at Nimbus Group has been an amazing period, including taking the company public and growing it into a global player in the premium segment of the motorboat industry through acquisitions. I take with me many rewarding experiences, and although I will miss all colleagues, the timing feels right to take the next step – both for me personally and for Nimbus Group.”
Alvemyr became CFO in August 2018 and oversaw preparations for the company’s IPO in 2021. Before joining Nimbus Group he worked at PwC for 16 years as an auditor and advisor. He says: “I will continue to follow Nimbus Group both as a shareholder and as a dedicated boat owner.”
Nimbus Group says it will start the recruitment process immediately and aims to appoint a replacement as soon as possible. Alvemyr will remain as CFO during the transition.
The news continues a leadership shakeup at Nimbus, which recently appointed Johan Inden as its new chief executive officer, after Jan-Erik Lindström informed the board earlier this year of his intention to retire. Christina Evans has recently taken up the position of deputy CEO, after being appointed in June 2025.
CEO Inden says: “Rasmus has been involved in shaping the Nimbus Group that I have had the privilege to lead for a short time now. I want to thank Rasmus for his important contribution to the group and wish him the best of luck in the next step.”
Nimbus Group designs and markets powerboats under the brands Alukin, Aquador, EdgeWater, Falcon, Flipper, Nimbus and Paragon Yachts. Its largest markets are the Nordic region, Europe and the US.
The company acquired US-based EdgeWater Power Boats in 2023. It employs 377 staff across operations in Sweden, Finland, Poland, England, Norway and the US.
