Oyster Yachts enters power catamaran market with P60

Oyster P60 Oyster follows the C60 sailing catamaran with the powered P60

Oyster Yachts has unveiled the P60, its first bluewater power catamaran. The British builder worked with Berret Racoupeau Yacht Design on the P60, which a couple can operate with or without crew. Its target range of up to 3,500 nautical miles would cover the longest leg of the Oyster World Rally – roughly 3,000 nautical miles from the Galápagos to the Marquesas.

The move into the catamaran sector was first confirmed during the Cannes Yachting Festival 2026, where Richard Hadida – Oyster’s chairman and owner – said he was “delighted” to see his dream coming true after finally being given permission by strategic advisor Torsten Müller-Ötvös, and announcing the C60 sailing catamaran.

A few weeks later, it unveiled its new monohull flagship, the Oyster 36M, at the Monaco Yacht Show. The boatbuilder then revealed details of the P60 at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show on 29 October 2026.

Stefan Zimmermann Zschocke, CEO of Oyster Yachts, says: “The P60 signals a major development in Oyster’s approach to bluewater yachting. It is the first time we have brought Oyster’s bluewater philosophy to a purpose-designed luxury power catamaran. The P60 is for owners who want the freedom to undertake long powered passages and expeditions aboard a spacious, luxury catamaran imbued with the safety and engineering those ambitions demand.

“Alongside the Monaco reveal of our new flagship, the 36M monohull superyacht, and the Cannes announcement of Oyster’s entry into the catamaran segment with our C60 bluewater sailing catamaran, the power P60 catamaran further cements our ambition to establish Oyster at the pinnacle of the world’s foremost superyacht manufacturers.

“My team and I, with the full support of our owner, Richard Hadida, are strategically expanding the Oyster brand with products that serve different owner aspirations, united by the standards of design, luxury, and construction inherent in every Oyster.

“While our sailing yachts remain central to that future, the P60 power catamaran builds on our extensive experience and authority as well as a long history of Oyster owner experiences at sea. Just as importantly, P60 owners will have access to the entire Oyster owner ecosystem, from delivery and commissioning to training, after-sales support, and our global owner community events, including the Oyster World Rally. We look forward to welcoming P60 owners into the Oyster family.”

Hull design and range

According to Oyster’s preliminary specifications, the P60 measures 19.42 metres overall, with a beam of 9.35 metres and a draught of 1.7 metres. At half load, the bridgedeck sits one metre above the water to help reduce wave slamming. Two independent tanks hold 6,000 litres of fuel between them, and the crew can transfer fuel from one to the other. The P60 also carries 1,000 litres of water.

Olivier Racoupeau of Berret Racoupeau Yacht Design says: “Our brief was to offer the space and stability of a 60-foot catamaran with the range of a true bluewater cruiser, while keeping her easy to handle for an owner couple. The P60 is a genuine luxury passagemaker, designed for offshore cruising from the very first line and fully in keeping with Oyster’s long-standing DNA.”

Each engine drives its own shaft and sits in a separate engine room aft, with access from the deck for maintenance. A bow thruster helps with manoeuvring in tight spaces. Owners can add solar panels to the hardtop to reduce generator use at anchor.

Deck layout and accommodation

The flybridge, saloon and two cockpits provide 121 square metres of shared space. The helm sits centrally on the 33-square-metre flybridge. At the stern, owners can use the 40-square-metre cockpit for dining or fishing, and the hydraulic tender platform doubles as a swim platform.

The 18-square-metre owner’s suite has its own access to the aft deck. Layouts offer two or three guest cabins and optional crew quarters. Owners can choose a galley on the main or lower deck. They will also have access to training through Oyster’s Bluewater Academy and support from its global service network.
