RS Venture Connect class partners with Rooster

RS Venture Connect World Championship

The International RS Venture Connect sailboat class is partnering with UK-based watersports clothing firm Rooster as its new apparel partner.

RS Venture says Rooster has become the sailing kit provider of choice for many RS sailboat sailors, after the two firms previously partnered on racing events run by RS classes and RS Sailing.

As part of the new official partnership, Rooster says it will make a range of customised clothing and apparel available to all those involved with RS Venture Connect activity globally — be they sailors, coaches, programme leaders or families, carers and team supporters. Rooster will also ensure class-appointed personnel at events have access to Rooster’s range of technical clothing and apparel.

“Some organisations in the marine industry just seem to ‘get it’, and Rooster is one of those,” says Dan Jaspers, head of international sales and business development at RS Sailing, who currently manages the RS Venture Connect Class. “The RS Venture Connect class is the youngest of the three current Paralympic sailboat classes, and it has lots to do if it is to increase the level of engagement it has around the world. Rooster understands this and is prepared to work with the class to drive awareness of inclusive sailing activity internationally. I look forward to working with Rooster in doing amazing things together as we roll out an ambitious program of events for the RS Venture Connect Class.”
