Savvy Navvy appoints new chief product officer

Marine technology company Savvy Navvy has promoted Misha Vysokovskiy to the role of chief product officer (CPO). The appointment comes as the boating navigation app scales up its growth.
Vysokovskiy joined Savvy Navvy nearly three years ago as head of product, following a decade in geoservices at Yandex.
“The boater experience is a core foundation of Savvy Navvy, and since bringing on Misha nearly three years ago he has led a wide range of product developments benefiting our users across the globe,” says Jelte Liebrand, chief executive officer and founder of Savvy Navvy.
“From launching enhanced features such as navigation mode, Over the Horizon AIS (OHA) and smart routing upgrades – Misha has supported a rapid development of features in Savvy Navvy, bringing technology and state-of-the-art user experience to boaters and on-water users around the world. As we continue our mission to make boating simpler for everyone, Misha’s appointment to CPO and our executive team signals the focus ahead of our ambitious plans to grow ‘Savvy Integrated’ and to continue us to scale.”
Vysokovskiy has a background in both navigation and boating, having spent nearly seven years on the water and establishing Russia’s first boat-sharing club. He now leads Savvy Navvy’s product development team.
“I’m thrilled with the promotion to chief product officer at Savvy Navvy. Launching ‘Savvy Navvy Integrated’ last year, we are creating much-needed seamless navigation solutions for marine manufacturers and suppliers worldwide, simplifying and elevating the boating experience,” says Vysokovskiy.
“Recent partnerships with Avikus and RAD Propulsion are only the beginning. We are offering intuitive charts and essential navigation solutions, whether through multifunction displays, engines or other integrated systems.”
The company’s app provides navigation solutions for leisure boaters, kayakers, paddleboarders and jet-skiers. It features smart routing, calculating optimal routes and estimated arrival times based on real-time data, including departure time, chart information, weather, tides, boat specifications and local regulations. The app also includes points of interest such as marina information, marine services and local businesses.
Savvy Navvy won a Neptune Award at the Marine Marketers of America (MMA) ceremony at the Discover Boating Miami International Boat Show last month for its retailer programme.
