SMG appoint new product ambassador

SM Group Europe (SMG) is delighted to announce the appointment of Smart Fishing UK as a product ambassador.

Smart Fishing UK has two competition boats they use to provide fishing and product tutorials. On social media, the company covers subjects such as fishing products and techniques, marine electronics, boating accessories and more.

SMG is the UK’s largest distributor of marine electronics to the trade and offers an array of other marine products. For this project, SMG, with the support of Raymarine, Railblaza, Solar Technology, Scanstrut and Life Cell, has supplied products which will be showcased on both of Smart Fishing UK’s boats.

“We met Will Parkinson, owner of Smart Fishing UK, at our ‘Meet the Manufacturer’ event in February,” says Ray Badminton, MD of SMG. “Will presented his business plan. It was clear that with our large portfolio of products we could enhance their boats and opportunities, so we were keen to help.

“We want to get the message out to the industry that we are more than just sales; over the last five years we have grown to a 30+ strong in-house team that are devoted to providing technical, marketing, sales and aftersales support in order to help businesses grow. Hopefully by supporting business like Smart Fishing UK it will help us to promote this message.”

Smart Fishing UK will berth its new 25’ competition boat at Trafalgar Wharf’s undercover dry-stack in Portsmouth Harbour.
