Marina management firm Suntex Marinas has taken over the Channel Club Marina, located in Monmouth Beach, New Jersey.

The Channel Club is midway between New York City and Atlantic City on the US east coast. The four-acre facility on the Shrewsbury River is billed as both a destination marina or year-round boat docking and storage location.

“Channel Club Marina is an amazing location, offering a host of amenities in the very popular Jersey Shore area,” said David Filler, investments partner for Suntex Marinas. “Having made a number of recent investments in the New Jersey and New York area, this property will be an excellent addition to the Suntex portfolio.”

Suntex recently acquired the Key Harbor Marina in Waretown, New Jersey, and also expanded its network in the Florida Keys this summer.

The floating dock system at Channel Club, installed in 2013, consists of four docks with more than 140 slips accommodating boats from 30 to 100 feet in length. Each slip has a state-of-the-art power pedestal with electricity, water and cable.

The property also includes a full-sized pool, a poolside Tiki Bar, which is open from May to September, and two restaurants. Yacht sales and marine service are provided by Sandy Hook Marine Concierge, which is owned by Sandy Hook Yacht Sales. Full mechanical repairs, hauling and launching, boat detailing, winterising and commissioning are among the services available.
