Superyacht goes out of control in the Caribbean

On December 15, Superyacht Ecstasea collided with the control booth of a bascule bridge when entering Simpson Bay Lagoon, on Caribbean island of Sint Maarten.

The Booth was ripped off and fell into water but the bridge remained fully functional, and nobody was hurt.

The Ecstasea suffered superficial damages and the accident is thought to be caused by an adverse combination of the strong wind and current.
