Tech start-up Floatist has announced its partnership with Croatian yacht charter company, Adventure Charter.

Floatist says the new partnership aims to revolutionise the yacht charter management in the Adriatic Sea by combining its advanced fleet management technology and Adventure Charter’s extensive and diverse fleet offering.

Based in Drage and Sukosan with more than 70 boats on offer for charter, Adventure Charter has been using Floatist’s cloud-based platform and app since March (2023) with ‘great success’ across its charter operations.

“Using Floatist has allowed for a timely and transparent flow of information within the team and towards our clients,” Hrvoje Erjavec, COO of Adventure Charter. “It has shown to be very useful in many cases and has allowed us to improve our business processes.”

Co-founded by ex-skipper Cindy Allis, Floatist is productivity tool designed to solve the operational challenges that fleet operators face, such as managing bookings, logistics and maintenance. The Floatist software is said to streamline operations by automating various administrative tasks, mobile check-in and check-out, inventory tracking, and maintenance scheduling, with a view to significantly improving operational efficiency, reducing manual work and increasing employee productivity and engagement.

Floatist integrates with popular booking systems to enable charter companies to optimise their workflows via a single user friendly platform for both clients and companies. According to Floatist, this results in simplified processes and the improvement of both employee communications and client relations – particularly amongst the younger generation of yacht charterers who are now expecting a digital experience across all of their activities.

“The adaptation of our team and the clients needed some time, but once the benefits were clear, it didn’t take long before everyone jumped onboard, realising this is the future of our chartering business. The user experience is also improving each week.

“The Floatist team is very supportive and responsible towards our feedback. They are a company that understands what the charters and clients need and have a very focused approach.”

Cindy Allis, Floatist CEO, comments: “It has been great working with Hrvoje and his team to make this a huge success for Adventure Charter. It is amazing to receive confirmation that our platform has been proven useful for such a large fleet operator like Adventure Charter, just 6 months after launch. I’m looking forward to a long-term partnership.”

Digital transformation in the marine industry is gaining pace. Earlier this month (July 2023), Yacht Sentinel launched YS Pro a digital Yacht ownership and management solution combining a security system, wi-fi hotspot, customer support and big data analytics, while in June (2023) MDL Marinas partnered with marine digitalisation firm Falco to trial smart marina technology at its Queen Anne’s Battery marina.
