Tecmar named new distributor for Paguro generator sets
Leading French equipment company Tecmar is the new distributor for Paguro generator sets manufactured by Italian company Volpi Tecno Energia.
The Paguro range includes 3000rpm, 1500rpm and variable speed generators from 3KVA to 22KVA, with models suited to recreational craft, ocean-going cruisers, as well as professional marine and land vehicles.
Martin Lambot says: “Whether for a boat or a vehicle, electrical power is an essential element for the operation of on-board equipment. With the addition of Paguro generators to our product catalogue, we are now in a position to meet any electrical system requirement, from the most basic to the most sophisticated.”
According to Paguro, its marine generators are renowned for their combination of performance, silent operation and compact size.
Silent marine generators
According to the manufacturer, as the engine and generator of the Paguro generators are both water-cooled, there is no need for an air intake for cooling, which limits the number of openings in the cocoon thus optimising sound insulation.
A single opening is left at the base of the cocoon for the air needed for combustion. It circulates through a baffle to further limit external noise.
The cocoon is made of multi-layer fibreglass reinforced with high-density neoprene foam for maximum acoustic insulation.
Thanks to the technology developed by VTE, Paguro generators are designed to be ultra-compact – the Paguro 4 MY produces 3.5kW continuously, weighs 65kg and measures 47cm x 42cm x 52cm.
All the generator models are fitted with warning lights and a load indicator with LED bar graph for immediate assessment of the power supplied.
