VDM-Reya adds Lasdrop to its roster
Michigan-based Lasdrop will be using VDM-Reya to distribute its range of propeller shaft seals throughout France.
“Lasdrop is the only manufacturer of both mechanical face seals, and lip seals,” says Lasdrop’s CEO, Kyle Mosher. As such, he says the company’s leveraging almost 50 years of longevity in the marine industry, and becoming one of the finest manufacturers of commercial and recreational shaft seals available.
“As our demand in Europe has grown so has our distributor network and we are very pleased to have VDM-Reya onboard to help us move forward in this important market.”
Meanwhile, Tom de Villeneuve, who is product manager at VDM-Reya, says the exclusive distribution agreement the company’s made with Lasdrop will support a multitude of applications within both the OEM and aftermarket. “With our first stock order on its way to us, we are keen to get started on the promotion of this brand and are positive that Lasdrop will quickly become popular with a large cross section of our customers,” says de Villeneuve.
In June this year, Henri-Lloyd appointed VDM-Reya as its exclusive distributor in France.
At that time, Simon Payne, CCO, said that France is a very important sales area for the company. “Sailing is a hugely popular activity in France; both the Vendee Globe and La Solitaire du Figaro are iconic offshore races, and the country is also the home of premium yachting regattas like Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez.”
