Wireless underwater lights find new distributor in UK

Mini wireless lights to retro-fit to vessels without making holes

Ampermarine, which makes lighting and electronic control unit technologies, has appointed Atlantis Marine Power as its exclusive UK distributor.

Ampermarine is part of Amperauto, established in Turin in 1947. The company, with two laboratories committed to research and innovation, started as a supplier of components to the automotive industry. Now its standout product, the company says, is an advanced underwater lighting system using inductive technology, eliminating the need to cut holes in a boat’s hull.

This enhances vessel integrity while providing illumination with a seamless, low-maintenance installation. Available as a bi-colour light (white and blue), and in two different formats, a big and generous 100W and a small 12W, both able to project a light beam length upto 13-meters in clear waters. “We are thrilled to be partnering with Ampermarine to expand their presence in the UK,” says Sam Bradley, sales manager of Atlantis Marine Power (who can be contacted via email). “Their approach to marine electrical systems aligns perfectly with our mission to provide high quality, and technologically advanced solutions to the maritime industry. This collaboration will enable us to better serve our customers with industry-leading products that meet the evolving demands of modern vessels, both leisure and commercial.”

Bradley says the wireless lights are suitable for any type and size of vessel, apart from vessels constructed of metal.

“There is an argument for this being a good DIY product as there is no need to drill holes in the boat although as a trade distributor, we will not be pushing it to consumers ourselves,” Bradley continues. “I would suggest that anyone who fits underwater lights should look at the product be they OEM or refit yard. It can be sold as an alternative to existing products if customers are nervous about holes in their boat.”

Through this agreement, Atlantis Marine Power (which was acquired by Saim Group in 2022) will distribute Ampermarine’s full product range, including interior and exterior lighting, IP69K switches, flexible waterproof neon lighting, and wireless sensors.
