Two long-established names in UK boating are joining forces, with Yacht Havens and Haven Knox-Johnston announcing a collaboration that links marina services directly with specialist marine insurance. The agreement brings insurance access, discounts and trade expertise to berth holders and tenants across nine Yacht Havens marinas, reflecting a practical shift towards more integrated marina support.

Both businesses share deep family roots and experience serving the marine industry. In 1978, Sir Robin Knox-Johnston was instrumental in transforming the inner basin of Troon into the marina it is today.

Partnership delivers insurance access across nine marinas

“The new partnership with Haven Knox-Johnston reinforces our commitment to a fully-serviced, accessible and secure boating experience for our berth holders,” says Jonathan Cook, group marketing manager for Yacht Havens.

Discounts and support for berth holders and marine trade tenants

Haven Knox-Johnston clients will automatically enjoy a 10 per cent discount on policies when introduced through one of the Yacht Haven marinas, plus an additional 10 per cent discount as a UK marina berth holder.

Marine Trade tenants of Yacht Havens will also have easy access to Haven Knox-Johnston Commercial’s team of industry experts. Last year, Haven Knox-Johnston Commercial launched a risk management tool designed to help marine businesses assess their exposure to risk.

Paul Knox-Johnston, sales and marketing manager, says the partnership brings together two trusted brands, each with a strong reputation for exceptional customer service. “By combining our expertise and shared commitment to excellence, we look forward to delivering even greater value and experiences for our customers.”

In addition, the Haven Knox-Johnston specialist branch based in Plymouth will be relocating to the Yacht Haven Quay Plymouth site in January 2026. Details about the marina chain can be found on its website.
