ZeroJet expands European footprint with Pochon partnership in France

The New Zealand-based firm specialising in compact electric jet propulsion systems, ZeroJet, has announced a new sales and service partnership with Pochon, a French distributor of marine equipment.

Under this agreement, Pochon will act as ZeroJet’s official sales and technical support partner in France. The partnerships strengthen ZeroJet’s presence in Europe and provide French customers with local access to sales, installation support, and technical servicing for the range of electric propulsion systems.

ZeroJet’s expansion into Europe began last year, after launching its first product, the 18kW electric jet propulsion for small boats and opening an office in the UK.

“France has a vibrant and passionate boating culture, and a growing demand for sustainable, high-performance solutions,” says James Morton, CEO of ZeroJet.

“Pochon’s deep expertise and extensive network make them the ideal partner to introduce the ZeroJet system to the French market. This partnership is a win-win: it provides our customers with a reliable, local point of contact for sales and technical assistance, while offering Pochon’s customers access to our revolutionary propulsion technology,” adds Morton.

ZeroJet’s propulsion systems are built with small boats in mind, from tenders, runabouts, sailing dinghies, to workboats. By using a compact jet system instead of a traditional propeller, they make boating safer for both swimmers and marine life. Fully electric, the systems are also touted to run quietly and produce zero emissions.

“We are incredibly excited to partner with ZeroJet and bring their cutting-edge electric jet propulsion system to our customers,” comments Julien Pochon, directeur général of Pochon.

“The ZeroJet system is a game-changer for the marine industry, and it aligns perfectly with our commitment to providing innovative and environmentally responsible solutions. We believe this partnership will not only meet the growing demand for electric propulsion in France but also help to shape the future of boating in a more sustainable direction,” adds Pochon.
