Zhik releases new drysuit
Watersports apparel manufacturer Zhik has launched a new drysuit, specifically optimised for competitive sailing across all disciplines. Using technologies and design elements from ocean racing and athletic inshore sailing, its said the front zip drysuit is lightweight, streamlined and highly durable.
Zhik has selected a three-layer, breathable Vecta fabric, which it says is 30 per cent lighter and considerably more breathable than its predecessor. Streamlined panelling creates a low windage fit with soft latex neck and wrist seals for a waterproof seal and maximum comfort.
The airtight and pressure resistant TiZip® zip is waterproof and is offset to enable free shoulder movement, designed to avoid bulk where a buoyancy vest and trapeze straps would normally sit over the shoulders.
All seams inside the drysuit are fully taped with further reinforcement on critical junctions, and internal braces allow the fit to be adjusted. High visibility trims are used to enhance low light awareness.
Anti-abrasion fabric adds protection to the seat, knee and foot panels, which Zhik claims provides maximum durability for a wide variety of activities and protects from risk of puncture and wear from non-slip decks.
The drysuit is available in Adult size S-XL RRP £499.95 and Junior sizes 10-14 RRP £449.95.
