Acquera Group acquires majority stake in recruitment firm Wilsonhalligan

Italian superyacht agency Acquera Group has acquired a majority stake in Wilsonhalligan, a UK-based recruitment company specialising in personnel for the superyacht, maritime shoreside and private household sectors.

Founded in 2007 and headquartered in Fareham, UK, Wilsonhalligan provides recruitment and search and selection services for owners, shipyards, yachting companies and private residences. The company operates internationally and focuses on recruitment for the nautical and maritime industries.

Wilsonhalligan will join Acquera Group while continuing to operate as an independent company. It will retain its existing brand, identity and management structure, with the current management team remaining in place following the acquisition.

Liam Dobbin, managing director, and Nicola Morgan, director, will continue to lead Wilsonhalligan. They will maintain existing relationships with clients and candidates while developing opportunities to work with other parts of Acquera Group.

The acquisition adds recruitment to Acquera Group’s existing range of services for the yachting sector. In a statement, the group says the move is intended to broaden its services across different parts of the industry value chain.
