Zella Compton is the managing editor of Marine Industry News. Zella is a journalist and author specialising in marine news, maritime news, and marine business news.

Initially Zella specialised in the building industry (Hamerville Media Group), before editing trade and consumer titles for various publishing houses. She wrote a weekly column for the Portsmouth News for 14 years and has been extensively published in national press including The Times. Zella became managing editor of MIN in 2019.
