British yacht broker Helm opens Australian office

Helm, a yacht charter brokerage based in the UK, has announced the opening of a new office in Sydney as it looks to expand its Australian client base.
Broker Fleur Hunt has relocated from Helm’s London headquarters to establish the Sydney operation. “I’m really excited to take this next step and help evolve the Helm brand, offering a more personal service to our clients across Australia, New Zealand and the wider Pacific region,” Hunt says.
The company acts as a charter advisor, with access to fleets worldwide. It also arranges bareboat, skippered and crewed yacht charters across a range of regions including the Mediterranean, Caribbean, South East Asia and French Polynesia.
“As we celebrate our 10th birthday, this is a really exciting moment in our history,” adds Helm co-founder Simon Morgan.
“I’m a proud Australian expat, and I’m delighted that we are now able to look after my fellow Aussies even better than before, without having to battle time zones,” he continues. “Australia and New Zealand have always been a key market for Helm, growing to about 15 per cent of our business last year, and Fleur is the perfect person to tackle the challenge of growing Helm down under. She brings an infectious, friendly energy and drive that we know our clients love.”
Morgan notes that Helm’s presence now spans multiple time zones, following the establishment of an office on the US east coast last year.
“We now have knowledgeable, experienced brokers on hand 24/7 across all time zones.”
