Brittany Ferries criticises “hammer blow” French travel restrictions

Brittany Ferries says France’s new travel restrictions are as “unnecessary as they are unwelcome.”

This comes as the country bans people travelling from the UK, in an effort to slow down the spread of the omicron variant of covid-19, according to Bloomberg.

Yesterday, the French government announced that, from midnight tonight, travellers will need to give “compelling reasons” in order to visit the UK and return to France, regardless of vaccination status.

The French ferry company called the announcement “a hammer blow to our Christmas season,” saying that with omicron spreading in France as it is in Britain, “further border controls seem as unnecessary as they are unwelcome.”

In the travel information section on its website, Brittany Ferries confirms: “With effect from 18th December 2021, you will only be able to enter France if you are French or from an EU country, or you have a compelling reason, irrespective of whether you are vaccinated or not. You may also travel if you have a long-term residency visa for France, and France is where you mainly live. You will not be allowed to travel for tourist or business reasons.”

Earlier this year, Brittany Ferries announced it was developing two new hybrid ships for Brittany Ferries’ UK-France operations.

If people cannot see that this isn’t about a ‘virus’ but control.
Get back in your box peasant and wait for your next shot of poison. Deaths in 15 to 19 year olds have increased 47% since the poison rollout. That’s a fact that is on ONS, just incase anyone would want to research the truth instead of listening to the garbage and lies told to us by the MSN
