Camper named official footwear supplier for SailGP

SailGP has named contemporary footwear brand Camper as its Official Footwear Supplier. The brand will exclusively design and create a selection of technical and casual footwear for both SailGP and Spain SailGP Team.

A family-run business with over 140 years of footwear expertise, the Mallorca-based brand is said to share SailGP’s purpose, vision and values focusing on quality and sustainability. Taking inspiration from sailing and the sea, Camper has developed exclusive SailGP styles that are kinder to the planet and provide the performance, design, and durability needed to compete.

“As a Spanish company with a long and rich heritage in the sport, we are very excited to have Camper onboard with both the league and the team,” says Spain SailGP Team CEO, Maria del Mar de Ros. “Ensuring the athletes have confidence in the footwear they wear onboard the F50 is paramount as they rapidly need to move from one side of the boat to the other on a constantly moving platform. We are confident that thanks to our partnership with Camper, the team will not only look good, but also be able to perform at the highest level.”

The SailGP x Camper collection will be available at selected Camper stores, Camper.com and through SailGP’s retail channels from April 2021. One percent from the sales of the collection will be donated by Camper to environmental causes.
