Fairline announces dealers in Russia and Montenegro

Fairline Yachts has appointed Stratos OY and MP Yachts OY as its new dealers for Russia and Montenegro, with offices launching in both locations this year and the dealers to trade as Fairline Russia and Fairline Montenegro respectively. Stratos OY and MP Yachts OY are already Fairline’s dealers in Finland and Estonia.

Founded in 2012, MP Yachts OY specialises in the sale of new and pre-owned luxury yachts in Finland, Estonia and the Mediterranean. Teaming up with MP Yachts OY on this venture is Stratos OY, which is MP Yachts OY’s partner for the Russian and Montenegrin territories. MP Yachts OY and Stratos OY have worked together for several years, including jointly running the Fairline Finland and Estonia dealership, with the partnership being formalised in 2018.

The new dealership business is being headed up by Stratos OY’s managing director, Nicky Verschraegen, alongside MP Yachts OY’s owner, Mika Papunen, who has worked in the industry since 1989. Stratos has been operating for over 15 years and has an experienced team known for distributing brands of home and car electronics, e-bikes and ski equipment in both Russia and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries.

Papunen says: “We greatly appreciate the years of successful operation and brand awareness of the previous Fairline representative in Russia. We are excited to build upon Fairline’s already excellent reputation in Russia and the new Montenegro office will give us access to a key yachting destination in the Mediterranean. The new dealerships are a big opportunity for us, as not only do we have excellent experience in these markets, but we also have the right connections among the target customer base to ensure a confident launch in these countries.”

Nicky Verschraegen adds: “Together, MP Yachts and Stratos form a strong and complementary team and we are convinced that in cooperation and with support of Fairline, we will be able to increase the brand’s market share in both our existing and new market areas. We have always admired the design, performance and quality which is associated with Fairline, and it is a great honour to be expanding our representation of the brand going forward.”

Fairline sales director, James Powell, says: “We feel confident that Nicky and Mika’s combined knowledge of the market will be a winning combination for Fairline in these key territories. Developing our global dealer network is part of our long-term growth strategy as we build on the strength of our current and new product lines. Fairline has enjoyed a long and successful relationship with Mika Papunen which we are looking forward to further building upon.”
