MJM Yachts appoints Derek Mader to lead international sales

US-based boatbuilder MJM Yachts has appointed Canadian yacht dealer and broker Derek Mader as director of international sales and dealer development.

Mader brings more than 30 years of experience in yacht sales and co-founded Canadian luxury yacht dealership and brokerage Executive Yacht in 2014, serving as chief executive for the past decade.

The North Carolina boatbuilder stregthened its team earlier this year with the appointment of a new chief operating officer and chief financial officer.

Discussing Mader’s partnership, MJM’s president and chief executive, Natascia Hatch says: “Derek brings a huge amount of experience to the table, and we are delighted to welcome him to our team. His focus will be to grow our business internationally, with immediate emphasis on Canada, the Caribbean, and Mexico, then expanding into the UAE, Dubia, UK and EU. He also will support the ongoing efforts of our US sales network.”

Mader adds: “After representing a wide variety of leading luxury yacht brands in Canada, I truly appreciate the high level of quality, performance and aesthetics that MJM Yachts bring to the marketplace. I am very excited about helping to expand the MJM brand’s reach throughout the world.”

In May 2025, MJM expanded its US dealer network through an extended partnership with DiMillo’s Yacht Sales.

MJM Yachts is based in Washington, North Carolina. The company builds luxury performance yachts using the C5 Composite Construction Process, a post-cured, epoxy-infusion method designed for strength and all-weather capability.
