Oyster Yachts and Henri Lloyd announce new official clothing partnership
British sailing yacht builder Oyster Yachts has appointed British marine apparel brand Henri-Lloyd as its official clothing partner, bringing together two companies with longstanding ties to offshore sailing.
The partnership will see Henri-Lloyd supply technical performance clothing to Oyster’s teams, while also developing a range of co-branded apparel and merchandise for Oyster owners and crew.
Alongside products, the agreement also brings together the firms’ respective training initiatives. Oyster recently launched its Bluewater Academy, offering a programme of sailing courses and experiences, including Women at the Helm in Palma and its Weather at Sea weekend in Southampton.
Henri-Lloyd’s Sail Free initiative, launched last month, provides access to Royal Yachting Association (RYA) training courses, from introductory sailing through to Competent Crew and Day Skipper qualifications.
With Oyster Yachts having collectively logged more than 20 million nautical miles and completed more than 100 circumnavigations, the partnership comes as the builder prepares for its next Oyster World Rally. Departing in 2028, the rally is expected to bring together around 30 yachts for its 16-month, 27,000-nautical-mile global voyage.
Stefan Zimmermann Zschocke (who took over as chief executive officer for Oyster Yachts in the summer of 2025) says: “Henri-Lloyd is a natural partner for Oyster. We share a proud British heritage, and both brands have been shaped by the real demands of sailing, with a shared focus on technical innovation, dependable performance, quality and design.
“As a lifelong sailor, I know how important it is to have clothing you can rely on in changing conditions, whether racing, cruising offshore or preparing for a circumnavigation. We also share a commitment to helping more people develop the skills and confidence to enjoy life on the water.”
Chris Hammond (who was appointed CEO of Henri-Lloyd in 2025) adds: “We are delighted to be partnering with Oyster Yachts, another great British brand with a rich heritage and an outstanding reputation for quality. Henri-Lloyd has always championed those who push the boundaries of sailing, and Oyster owners embody that adventurous spirit.
“Whether they’re exploring remote cruising grounds or preparing for a once-in-a-lifetime circumnavigation, we’re proud to help keep them protected wherever their journeys take them.”
The collection will make its debut at the Oyster Palma Regatta in September 2026, where Henri-Lloyd will supply official regatta clothing.
