Semi-submersible 146m vessel has a tennis court, botanic garden and four aquariums
A semi-submersible former support vessel has been converted by Karmarine Shipyard into an unusual expedition yacht, with a grass tennis court and enough room to carry 70 luxury toys, a 46m sailing yacht and a sea plane.
Now called OK, the vessel was built by Oshima Shipbuilding in 1982 as a yacht transport ship, and was originally known as AS Super Servant 3. The conversion was completed by Turkey-based Karmarine Shipyard with exterior design by Timur Bozca.
The yacht has a sun deck jacuzzi, swimming pool surrounded by glass windows, outdoor cinema, botanic garden, four aquariums and enough room for 20 guests. OK also has a large car ramp, a 40-tonne crane and a vertical wind turbine.
OK can also be partially submerged – the vessel carries various amphibious toys, tenders and vehicles, which can be floated on and floated off.
Bozca says OK has been designed with enhanced internal strength, so the vessel can handle both stern and side loading.
The owner and price of this extraordinary conversion have been kept private, but the designer confirms she is currently on the water and exploring the world.
