Taiga and Aqua superPower unite to power up marine electrification

Electric personal watercraft manufacturer Taiga Motors has partnered with marine charging network Aqua superPower in a move aimed at accelerating the rollout of scalable, high-speed electric charging infrastructure across marine environments.

Under the agreement, Taiga’s electric personal watercraft (PWC) and other vehicles will be compatible with Aqua superPower’s growing network of marine fast chargers, now spanning 59 sites across North America and Europe. The partnership also includes integrated infrastructure and software solutions for fleet operators, including onboard yacht charging and land-based depots.

The collaboration aims to reduce the cost and complexity of electrification for both commercial operators and recreational users, aligning Taiga’s demand for vehicle charging with Aqua’s infrastructure expansion strategy. Charging options range from Level 2 destination chargers to high-power DC fast charging, with capacities of up to 250 kW, offering recharge times as low as 20 minutes in some cases.

“Scalable infrastructure is key to unlocking the full potential of electrification,” says Sam Bruneau, CEO of Taiga Motors. “With Aqua superPower’s expertise, we’re making it easy for individuals and fleets to go electric — especially in high-volume use cases where the sustainability impact is multiplied,” Bruenau adds.

For Aqua superPower, the deal brings further utilisation of its marinised charging technology across a broader user base. The company has developed a purpose-built supercharger system designed for harsh marine conditions, offering both AC and DC solutions compatible with a range of electric boats, PWCs, and jet skis.

Another recent collaboration with Aqua superPower was the installation of charging points throughout the IGY Marina, Portisco Marina, in Sardinia earlier this year.

“By combining demand and deployment, the companies overcome the two-sided market challenge inherent in electrification,” explains Karen Gill, COO of Aqua superPower. “Infrastructure must often lead the way—but by joining forces, Taiga and Aqua are accelerating both sides of the equation.”

The news follows increasing momentum in the marine sector to reduce emissions and adopt sustainable propulsion technologies.
