Yare 2024

YARE 2025 (Yachting Aftersales & Refit Experience) kicks off today (12 March) and runs until 14 March in Viareggio, Italy. Organisers confirm this edition has reached full capacity, with 70 per cent of participants coming from outside Italy.

The three-day gathering brings together companies and international captains from the refit and aftersales sector. The annual event focuses on B2B meetings and networking, facilitated by digital tools such as the YARE app, which enables scheduled meetings between captains and companies to optimise time and engagement.

YARE 2025 includes shipyard visits across key nautical districts from La Spezia to Pisa, providing insights into yacht industry advancements. The YARE forum features more than 15 international speakers, including representatives from leading refit shipyards and Mediterranean industry stakeholders. Among the participants this year are RYN Riviera Yachting Network from France and BMC Balearic Marine Cluster from Spain, which have signed an international cooperation agreement covering training, regulatory collaboration, and regional promotion.

Workshops will cover refit, advanced technologies, artificial intelligence applications and wellbeing for crew and shipyard professionals.

The event is supported by the Tuscany North-West Chamber of Commerce, the Tuscany Region, and Toscana Promozione Turistica. It is also endorsed by the European Commission and industry associations including Confindustria Nautica, SYBAss, ICOMIA, ISS International Superyacht Society, and international captains’ associations.

“We are extremely satisfied with the results achieved for this edition of YARE,” says Pietro Angelini, general manager of Navigo. “The sold-out status and strong international presence confirm that the event is now recognized as a global benchmark for refit and aftersales. The outstanding quality of the participating companies and the high-level networking opportunities make YARE an unparalleled platform for business development and industry discussions on future challenges.

“YARE is a strategic event for our nautical district, a catalyst for opportunities generating an economic impact of 30m euros. With a 15-year consolidated format, successfully replicated worldwide, it welcomes 110 onboard captains and over 120 international companies, establishing itself as a business and innovation hub for the refit sector and yachting services.”
