The Honours heads to FLIBS for 2025

The Superyacht Life Foundation (SYLF) and the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) have announced that nominations are now open for the third edition of The Honours.
The event, which recognises individuals making a positive impact in the superyacht industry, will take place at FLIBS this year, for the first time. The event has taken place at the Monaco Yacht Show for the past two years.
Dilan Saraç, executive director at SYLF — an industry body that advocates for the superyacht sector — says: “We are taking The Honours on a journey to share our stories with new audiences. Together with our valued partners, we are expanding our reach while staying true to our mission.”
Previous honourees include Wendy Schmidt, philanthropist and founder of 11th Hour Racing; Mike Horn, explorer and founder of the Pangaea X incubation programme; and Zoran Selakovic, director of Yacht Aid Global.
The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show is the largest in-water boat show globally, attracting over 100,000 visitors annually and featuring more than 1,300 boats and 1,000 marine brands. Held across seven locations in Fort Lauderdale, it showcases a range of yachts and marine technology.

Informa, through the Monaco Yacht Show, has partnered with SYLF to organise two previous editions of The Honours in Monaco. The event was created to highlight the contributions of individuals in the industry and SYLF says it was always intended to rotate among major yachting centres. Informa will now provide FLIBS as the platform for the 2025 edition, with nominations open to individuals connected to the superyacht sector who have made notable contributions. This may include work in innovation, sustainability, or other initiatives that have had a lasting impact.
A panel of industry professionals will review the nominations and select three honourees, who will be recognised at The Honours ceremony on Tuesday, 28 October 2025 in Fort Lauderdale.
“The Honours have always been about recognising the incredible people who make the yachting industry so special,” says Gaëlle Tallarida, managing director of the Monaco Yacht Show. “This spirit of celebration and recognition will continue, now reaching a wider audience as The Honours expand their reach at FLIBS. “We at Monaco Yacht Show are proud to have been a part of this journey and look forward to continuing to support initiatives that elevate and inspire our industry.”
Nominations can now be submitted online.
