BWA Yachting opens superyacht services in Saudi Arabia
Jeddah is Saudi Arabia’s second-largest city.Superyacht concierge and maritime services agency BWA Yachting has announced the launch of its operations in Saudi Arabia, as part of its continued expansion within the Middle East. In partnership with Faisal M. Higgi & Associates, the company will provide superyacht services across several key yachting destinations in the country.
The new offices are situated in multiple port locations, including Yanbu, which serves as the headquarters, along with Jeddah, Jizan, Rabigh, Duba, Dammam, and Sindalah (NEOM) — announced last year — offering accessible support for clients and partners. BWA Yachting says its presence in these locations is intended to provide comprehensive assistance to clients as they travel along popular routes from the Mediterranean, through Egypt’s Suez Canal and the Gulf, into the Red Sea and beyond. The expansion aims to maintain consistent, high-quality services for superyacht owners, captains, and crews visiting Saudi Arabia.
Among the range of services BWA Yachting will offer in the region are berth bookings, yacht clearances, formalities with embassies, and technical services. The company will also provide assistance with import and export clearances for yachts and boats, charter permits for commercial yachts, and logistical support including transport, storage, and waste disposal. Additional services include visa arrangements, fuel supply, spare parts provisioning and VIP concierge services.
“We are thrilled to establish operations in Saudi Arabia, a region that is witnessing rapid growth in the yachting sector,” says Nikolaos Patsiokas, COO of BWA Yachting. “Our partnership with Faisal M. Higgi & Associates Co. Ltd reflects our commitment to providing unparalleled services to our clients as they explore the exceptional destinations along the stunning Saudi Arabian coastline.”
Abdulaziz Faisal Higgi, managing partner at BWA Yachting Saudi Arabia, adds: “At Faisal Higgi Company, our partnership with BWA Yachting aligns seamlessly with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. Together, we’re committed to enhancing the yachting experience in our local market, bringing world-class expertise to the region and playing a key role in shaping the future of luxury maritime tourism on Saudi shores.”
The Saudi Arabian yachting sector is expected to experience significant growth in coming years, with the development of key coastal areas like NEOM and other high-profile projects along the Red Sea. The region is attracting increasing interest from global superyacht owners seeking new luxury experiences.
“To meet this anticipated demand, BWA Yachting is expanding its operations strategically across the country’s primary yachting hubs,” Francesca Fenucci, BWA’s chief communications officer, tells MIN. “By offering comprehensive services—including yacht agency, technical support, and VIP concierge offerings—BWA Yachting aims to cater to the increasing needs of the luxury maritime market.”
BWA says its expansion in Saudi Arabia supports the country’s Vision 2030 initiative, which aims to develop tourism and position the region as a leading destination for luxury yachting.
“The company’s expansion into key Saudi port locations, such as Jeddah, Sindalah (NEOM), and others, aligns with Vision 2030’s goal of diversifying the economy, including tourism and maritime activities,” Fenucci tells MIN. “BWA Yachting’s world-class offerings, such as yacht agency services, logistics, and VIP concierge services, will play a significant role in attracting superyacht owners and crews, elevating Saudi Arabia’s appeal as a luxury yachting destination, and contributing to the broader development of the country’s tourism and infrastructure.
“Additionally, the partnership with Faisal M. Higgi & Associates Co. Ltd further strengthens this alignment by bringing international expertise to support the growth and modernisation of the region’s yachting industry.”
The news comes after BWA Yachting opens a new office in Sweden in partnership with SDK Group, in May 2024.
