Lazzara Yachts expands into expedition market with new 50m build

Lazzara EX 165 Profile

Lazzara Yachts, part of the Euro Marine Group, has announced the sale of its largest model to date, the Lazzara EX 165. This marks the company’s entry into the expedition superyacht sector.

Measuring just under 50-metres and under 500 gross tons, the steel-hulled and aluminium-superstructured yacht is scheduled to begin construction in early 2026.

It will be built to Red Ensign Group Large Yacht Code standards and Lloyd’s Register commercial classification, enabling unrestricted navigation.

The yacht will accommodate 12 guests across six cabins, with quarters for a crew of 11, including the captain. Key features include long-range cruising capability, customisable interior layouts, and operational resilience suited to extended offshore cruising.

The sale was completed in partnership with Mortlock Yachts, whose director, Tristan Mortlock, introduced the buyer and will oversee the build and charter operations post-delivery.

This announcement follows the recent sale of the Lazzara UHV 150, as the US-based builder continues to expand its presence in the large yacht and expedition segment.

“The Lazzara EX 165 represents a new benchmark in expedition yacht engineering, expanding our range with enhanced capabilities for extended offshore cruising,” says George Chirakadze, CEO of Lazzara Yachts.

Lazzara Yachts focuses on semi-custom-built yachts that, it says, blend advanced technology with timeless aesthetics. From ultra-high-volume models to next-generation materials and patented systems, Lazzara Yachts is redefining modern yacht construction – delivering yachts that are not only built to impress but built to last. Euro Marine Group is an international, diversified group of marine companies specialising in yacht design, engineering, new build, refit, management, sales, brokerage, charter, fractional ownership, and worldwide service of yachts. It also owns and manages several unique yacht brands.
