Superyacht Summit Türkiye returns to Istanbul on 4–5 November, bringing together professionals from yacht building, brokerage, design, finance, technology and yacht management to discuss market conditions and the future of the sector.

The event’s fourth edition will examine a market shaped by changing buyer expectations, rising costs and shifting investment patterns. The organisers say the programme focuses on ‘what comes next’, with sessions covering recent transactions, yacht project delivery, brokerage technology and Türkiye’s position in international yacht building.

The first day will feature panels and presentations at The Peninsula Istanbul, followed by industry roundtables and shipyard visits on 5 November.

The opening market discussion will examine how recent transactions, order books and yacht shows reflect performance differences across the sector. Panellists will also examine how wider economic conditions and capital flows are influencing demand, alongside Türkiye’s growing role in international yacht construction.

Türkiye’s role in the international yacht-building market will be a recurring theme, with sessions examining what shipyards need to compete for international projects and build lasting relationships with owners. The country’s ambitions are reflected in developments such as Mengi Yay Yachts joining the Superyacht Builders Association, as Turkish builders seek to strengthen their position in the global market.

Yacht construction and project delivery

Several sessions will focus on the decisions involved in developing and delivering large yachts. A panel examining RMK Yachts’ 55-metre Arcane platform will consider how design, propulsion technology, shipyard capabilities and owner priorities influence a project from the outset. Representatives from RMK Yachts, Espen Øino International, Volvo Penta and TWW Yachts are scheduled to take part.

Another session will examine the challenges of managing complex yacht projects from contract to delivery, including technical reviews, certification, sea trials and warranty support. The discussion will bring together representatives from brokerage, yacht operations, naval architecture and the Cayman Islands Shipping Registry.

The programme will also examine shipyard selection and the long-term relationships between owners, their representatives and builders. A separate panel will explore the decisions behind Simena, the 62-metre sailing ketch built by Ares Yachts.

Other sessions will consider how yacht interiors can remain adaptable and retain value beyond their original owner, as well as the wider economic contribution of the superyacht industry.

Brokerage technology and yacht management

Technology and changing client behaviour will feature in a session on the future of yacht brokerage. Representatives from Boats Group, Boatsters Black, Nautique Yachting and YATCO are scheduled to discuss how data, artificial intelligence and digital platforms are changing how yachts are discovered, evaluated and sold.

The topic follows wider developments in digital brokerage tools, including the partnership between Rightboat and YachtOne, which aims to connect boat listings with brokers’ sales and customer-management workflows.

Yacht management will also feature, with discussion covering technical reliability, crew operations, financial control, compliance, cyber resilience and owner privacy. The programme will consider whether Türkiye can build on its yacht-construction base to become a more established location for the long-term management of Turkish-owned and international fleets.

The conference will close its panel programme with a discussion on the Eastern Mediterranean and Gulf regions, examining the role of marina capacity, hospitality, connectivity and service quality in attracting yacht owners and visitors.

Roundtables and shipyard visits

On 5 November, delegates can attend industry roundtables at Novotel Istanbul Bosphorus, running from 10am to 2pm. The programme will also include visits to three yacht facilities in Tuzla: KRM Yacht Refit & Rebuild, Mengi Yay Yachts and RMK Yachts, scheduled between 10am and 6pm.

The summit combines discussions about market conditions and project delivery with opportunities for delegates to exchange experience and visit Turkish yacht-building facilities.

The programme remains subject to change. Further information, the full agenda and registration details are available on the Superyacht Summit Türkiye website.
